The first round pick for the raiders in 2004. How well has he perfomed. The O-line is the foremost problem in the Oakland offense (and that they can't defend the run). I'd like to hear from Raiders fans what they think of the guy.

First of all, I'm not a Raider fan. But I think it's obvious, the guy is a near bust. The jump from the Big 10 to the NFL is huge and he hasn't adapted. Can you say Tony Mandarich?

okay I didn't even read everyone else's responses. And i'm the complete opposite of a Raiders fan. I absolutely despise them as a Chiefs fan and just as an NFL fan in general.
But anyways, Robert Gallery is a bust. He is awful. I swear I am not reaching at all when I say that he is a Ryan Leaf type bust. That analogy works even better because they were both 2nd overall. But still, he is that big of a bust. People just don't notice it as much because he's on such a low-profile team and right tackle is really difficult to pay attention to, understand stats, or even to care about for that matter. The only reason they aren't cutting him is because he was the 2nd overall pick and they don't wanna look retarded.

The verdict is still out on Robert Gallery. As a rookie he started 16 games at right tackle and did really well. He has shown that he can be beat by edge rushers at left tackle but the last few weeks he has played solid. Overall he is worth the second overall pick. Selecting a left tackle of his calibur gives you 10+ years (barring injury) of solid investment. You cant get that from skilled players other then quarterback.

He has not performed well, especially for a first-round O-Linemen. It is both the Raiders front office/coaching staffs fault and his as well. He should have been prepared and worked harder instead of missing and holding out due to contract issuess. Also, they switched him from left tackle to right tackle than guard and than back to left tackle. For now he is a bust...do I smell another Leonard Davis bust?

Robert Gallery ranks right up with the WORST first round draft picks by anybody, anywhere, anytime.
