Overthrow him only AFTER we've neutralized all of his nuclear facilities. We should attack N. Korea immediately!

Have you ever stopped to consider the fact that the North Korean people could actually like the lunatic?
Why not overthrow the American dictator and free up the American people.

In this case you have to weigh the good of the many vs. the good of the few. Sure the people of North Korea would benefit, but at what cost? Hundreds of thousands of people throughout the region and possibly the world would die, and more if North Korea does actually have nuclear weapons. Look at the people of China, though they are not free, they are much more free than they were twenty years ago. The introduction of a free market into North Korea would benefit them much better than a war after which they would have to establish a government they have no experience in running.

It would be nice, but we already tried that back in the early 1950's and all we succeeded at was the 49th parallel division of North and South. But the North remained communistic. The people in North Korea will have to do what the German people did back in 1989 and tear down the virtual wall between the opposing sides. It falls into the hands of the people under the regime. They will have to care enough to change their governmental system.

I think It would be a great thing, But getting the people of that country to do it and not start a major war with all of the other countrys including the U.S.A. will be a challeng. We dont know if they want to be free from under a DICTATOR like they have. The people over there should Make him remove himself from office and get someone else to run their country.

One war at a time. I would wait until we were in imminent danger of being bombed before doing anything. Amercia can not police the entire world. They have to learn to behave on their own. Maybe the N. Koreans will overthrow him until the time that we are in serious danger, leave it alone.

I think alot of diplomacy and hard work and sanctions and anything else that will help should be put in motion first. Overthrowing people is war. And, the last time I checked we are a bit overextended in that area.

North Korea is on the other side of the world. I think's it's China's problem to solve and it's certainly in China's best interest to do so. My only concern about North Korea is that they will now sell nuclear weapons to rogue nations that will actually use the GD things.

Oh yeah, that always works out great. Nothing could go wrong.

You could probably land a job in the Bush Administration with that kind of foriegn policy acumen.

Added: Ah, I now think you're being ironical. I'm impressed. It upsets my stomach too much to pretend to be a Bush-ite.

I say yes but I don't think we should because he is so unstable he might just start launching stuff all over the place. I really don't think he actually has nuclear weapons he is just trying to provoke us into fighting because he thinks he will win because of how hard it is to fight 3 different wars
