-That would have gotten the Yankees out of that contract I suppose and they wouldn't have had to be 2nd guessed about trading away the 2005 MVP who slumped this season.

what kind of person does that? an individual in need of desperate mental help? a person with no moral value? a Yankee fan??

Do you stand up and cheer when an innocent by standard gets killed??

OK...I may not be happy with A-Rod but I would never wish him dead. This was a horrible thing for you to suggest, even as a joke. Cory Lidle and instructor died a horrible death and they both leave behind wives and small children.

As a fan of baseball, I would not want anyone to die in a plane crash, or any other way. A-Rod had a good year for most players, although it was sub-par for what was expected for him.

He has not had much success in the post season, but you cannot deny the skills that he brings to the table.

Yes, that way no one would have gotten hurt.

Because A-Rod does not hit anything in October!

Have you not one ounce of human in you????? A man is dead, and all you can do is say you wish another man was dead, so the Yankees could have saved a couple of bucks?

Have a little respect for the gift called human life, and the fact that for whatever reason, a man died yesterday at a very young age, and left a small child and wife behind. And consider getting help for your sick dementia.

.290, 35 HR, and 121 RBI

Only the morons in New York would call that a slump.

Ummmm....i dunno if they could get out of the contract, they might actually have to pay it all off to the heir of his estate if there is nothing in the contract about not playing (sounds strange but might be right, not sure though).

Not at all. I'm a Cardinals fan all the way, but I respect the hell out of A-Rod and his talent.
