Why do people become addicted to the internet and destroy their families in the process?

My boyfriend is addicted and he is hurting his job and me in the process. When I try to calmly discuss it with him he blames it on me. I guess I am not enough for him.

Ask him to start out slow by cutting his time on the Internet to 4hours a day. Then every week lower till it's down to 1hour aday. I know how you feel lost a great guy to this. If he can't do this for you then walk a way.
