I was just in Mexico. Many are Catholic but many are still connected to the beliefs of their Mayan ancestors. I just learned that many Mexicans who speak spanish learn it as a 2nd language after learning the Mayan dialect that is indiginous to their area.

But I think that alot of mexicans are Catholic. Can't be too sure though.

Mainly Roman Catholic, but there is a minority that is a post modern religion based on the ancient Mexican Indian religion that uses magick and native 'witchcraft'.

Most are Catholic.
As for the first poster that was untrue most Mexicans I know work hard. I just wish they would immigrate here legally .

The predominant religion in Méjico is catholicism. I believe there is particular veneration for Our Lady of Guadeloupe.
