The company that owns it is putting up for sale all of the Six Flags parks. But it wants to sell tham as a unit, rather than one by one. This makes it harder to sell Six Flags Magic Mountain, which is most valuable for its real estate.
So the answer is -- it is still running, and as of now will continue to run for the foreseeable future.
