I took Clomid on Oct. 4, 2006 to the 8th, on CD 5-9, I want to know how long does it take for the effects and when will i be ovulating, I have had headaches and hot flashes. My af was on Sept. 30, 2006. Can anyone help. Thanks.

I took clomid, CD 5-9 & got pregnant. Unfortunately, I did lose the pregnancy later. To be honest I could tell when I was ovulating as I had pinching around the sight of my ovaries--- an ultra sound, as I thought something was wrong (possible cyst rupturing), confirmed same. I am sure this is not the case for everyone though. When prescribing clomid my doctor actually reviewed the days with me that it SHOULD be best to have intercourse and also indicated to only have intercourse ever other day. I also had headaches and hot flashes just merely a side effect of the medication. I would review your cycle with your doctor, ask for suggestions for the best time to begin intercourse, and/or use an ovulation predictor. Good luck!!..

Clomid in effect makes you have a normal 28 day cycle, no mater if you before had a shorter or longer cycle. It is very hard to know the exact date you will ovualte (you need to take temps everymorning before you get out of bed, and psooibly tak ovualtion tests), but you should be safe if you make love on CD 10,12,14,16 and some will even say day 18 too. You should see a doctor on CD 21-23 to get an ultrasound and see if you did ovualte, and if so how many times.

it fairly is the 2d month I certainly have been on clomid. final month I took 50 mg of clomid on day 5-9. I ovulated on cd 23. This month i'm taking 50 mg of clomid on day 4-8, observed via estrodoil on day 9-12. i'm hoping this may be the month! i did no longer have any symptons on an analogous time as taking clomid, even nonetheless my AF became heavy this month with somewhat some cramping the 1st day.

those are side effect of clomids
I was told that after clomid I can ovulated from 5 days after my last pill

It depends on how long your cycle is...you can chart it for free at www.mymonthlycycles.com..you put in the first day of your last period, and how long your cycle is and it will give you when you ovulate. Taking the clomid will guarantee that happens at that particular time
