I don't know how to recommend for a couple that does not include a girly person. Abbott & Costello maybe? Bert & Ernie? Or do you just mean not "frilly?" Then how about Roy Rogers and Dale Evans? Or how about "me and my shadow," and you dress up as a slightly feminine version of whatever he wears; two hobos, for example, or two old cow hands.
