I am sooo tired of people thinking that just because they've been singing for a long time (i hope more than 10 years) that they can go out and get "discovered". Now a days, the only people who get "discovered" as singers are people who are ALREADY famous (ie: Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, Jennifer Love Hewitt, J.Lo). The rest of the world starts from scratch. They meet local producers and get to know the people who are inthe biz in their local area. They learn how to use their voice and find a sound. They make a demo and push it to the loca radio stations, live music clubs and local mom and pop music stores. And once they have some exposure they start to reach out to bigger labels. Wise up, American Idol is whack. Getting disvoered like that will basically make you a fad. If you really want to be sucessful, you have to WORK at it.

First off change your web name , you are not a nobody. Now to your question. The music business is very difficult to get in. There are alot of people out there that are really good. You have to be better. So work hard at it. Try getting on some of those TV shows like American Idol. Send them a tape of your self. Keep working at it and most of all if this is what you really want DONT GIVE UP!!!. It might not happen over night but if you work hard it will happen some day. Check the internet for listing of auditions that you might try out for. There are alot of roads to follow so be careful which ones you take. Check them out before you take it to be sure its legit. Hope to some day hear you sing.

Go to an American Idol audition next year or something. If you're really THAT good, then that would be an easy way to be discovered.

It's not necessarily all in "who you know", you have to go out there and discover, to be discovered.
Perhaps, audition for "American Idol"? That's one way of discovering, and being discovered. You discover them, and if you're good enough, they'll discover you.
