Yes, we probably would have. Although most Muslims are not terrorists most terrorists are Muslims. Yes, we have to take race and religion into question when we are trying to fight terrorism. This is a war for survival, we cannot let political correctness be our guideline.
I have a brother in law who is from Turkey. He is one of the brown/islam types you described. He always cringes when he is not targeted for extra searches at airports. He does not like being searched but he knows the score, he says that if the plane goes down it goes down with him and he prefers my sister to 72 little girls that terrorists get.
If the apologists for terrorists would spend their energy cleaning their own house and setting themselves apart from terrorists we would be much closer to a solution to the problem.

Yes.. interesting question indeed. I thought this yesterday evening.. The way the GOP has got the faint hearted thinking you know that is precisely what would have been in their thoughts.
They would have been screaming terrorism, Iraqis, Mexicans anything. The haters of difference are very quiet today.
