They must not teach the law of supply and demand in school any more. I will leave your comment about Iraq being about oil to someone else. There is plenty of oil all over the world and perhaps some large amount that remains undiscovered. The people who have that oil only make money when they sell it. They derive 100% of their power from the control of that oil. In order to maintain that control, they have to sell some of it. My comment is that oil will NEVER be more than we can afford to pay. When the price gets too high, the consumption drops and it creates a situation where there is a huge incentive to find other sources of power. The high price might hurt a bit, but it will not go higher than our economy can stand.
