I'm not liking the beating thing. Shame on him. I give you credit, seeing someone for who they are. I don't know babe, it's a hard call. I don't think anyone should be beaten into submission, but, is it possible to talk one on one with this man? Perhaps you could invite your girlfriend over, with their permission naturally, he then might see what a nice girl she is. I don't like racism at all, I think it's great that we all love each other and get along, but some people make this very hard. I wish for you all the happiness and respect this world has to offer, and most of all the opening of your fathers eyes as well as his heart.

Try sitting down and talking with your parents. Let them know how important this girl is to you. Listen to their reasoning for not being in an interracial relationship. Make sure this girl is truly worth destroying your relationship with your family. Girls come and go but your family is always there.
If your parents were smart they would not harrass you about her because sometimes that makes you do the opposite and want to date her even more.

He beat you? Where are you living now? How old are you?
Im a firm beleiver in true love and frankly color does not matter!
We are one world, one people! Get the heck away from anyone who beats you til you bleed, father or not! No one deserves to be treated in that way for loving another human being! I am very upset by this!

First off all, make sure that your relationship is really strong before you go destroying your family over it. Second of all, be mature and ask your parents about it. Find out what the cause of their prejudice is, and try to debate(not argue) with them. I don't know how old you are, but ultimately, it is your decision to make.

That's so sad. Sorry, but we can only control our own feelings and actions, not those of others. Wait a while to emotions ease up, then try to approach a brother, sister or your mom and let them know how you feel. Hopefully they'll be understanding. Best of Luck.

How old are you? how old is your girlfriend? you say he beat you till you bled, did you tell the police? Some people will never understand about mixing races! In the bible it tells us that Moses married an ethiopian woman. So there was mixed races getting together way back then!

that's to bad, love don't have a color they will come around,if they love and you are being respectable ,try not to worry about. Is this a serious relationship, then if so I might worry a little but this will get old they will get tired of wasting a lot of energy on badness
