Any guesses as to why, at work people just don't seem to have time for others..it's very rare to get a "good morning"
In the shops no-one seem to smile any more.

Takes two to tango.

Why not smile and say good morning to the people next time. And if find it's poor customer service, call the store manager and make a suggestion to chipper up their staff. Could be poor management and the employees aren't happy and don't want to be there. They shouldn't let it show so why not be a friendly customer and make their day?

Spread smiles :o)

Hey you need to come and live in the north lass, were still a friendly old bunch up here, if people don't say good morning we stop them and ask whats wrong, if we see down in the dumps shop assistants we have a laugh and a joke with them to make them smile, words and smiles cost nothing to anyone, if they can't be bothered to be nice then its their loss not yours.

I always smile in my shop and say good morning ... it depends where you live... although some people just have an attitude problem I blame drinking too much and the fact that everyone is out to have more money than the next.........

True.
I believe is too much competitive these days, you have to push yourself hard to be sucessful amont the successful.
Unbalanced diet ( busy at work) too little nutrition ( to go on diet)
all has psychological impact.
Important above all...they are losing values, simple humanly values to respect each other despite age and society status.
