Your university library has an entire section devoted to current periodicals. This is where current issues of scholarly journals are kept.

Also, when browsing your library's stacks, you have probably seen bound volumes of past issues of lots of journals. Maybe you didn't recognize them as such at the time, but if you go back and walk down practically any random aisle, you'll see a series of volumes all bound in the same color binding, and all bearing the same title on the spine (like "Journal of the American Academy of Religion"). These "books" are actually bound journals.

Also, most college libraries have access to JStor. This is a database of journal articles. They are print journals, but they're stored electronically and you can print them out (with the full citation on where they came from). Its a much easier way to find articles on a specific topic. Go to the reference desk and ask for their help.

Hit the journal section of the local college library. Ask a librarian if you do not know how to conduct searches.
