I'M ALL FOR IT. THEY SHOULD TORTURE THE ENEMY TILL THEY SPILL THEIR BEANS. IF THEY DON'T THEN WE NEED TO SPILL THEIR BEANS ALL OVER THE WALL. WAR IS HELL. THE ONLY WAY TO WIN A WAR IS TO SHOW THE ENEMY WHO IS MORE DETERMINED.

Huh? I didn't know voters had to. Maybe you're thinking about what has been going on in the Senate regarding defining torture. Well, torture is a relative term. For me, torture could be having to listen to Barbara Streisand or the Dixie Chicks sing. To a Muslim, torture might be having to wear a pair of panties on their head.

It may become an election issue - after all, our military's policy reflects our American values. So, do we approve of torturing our enemies to get certain information out of them? If so, under what circumstances? Is it ever proper? Is it naive not to use a useful tool in a life or death struggle?

These are not trivial questions.

Standards of human dignity in captivity need to be maintained regardless. America`s policy of secretly transporting suspected torrorists to friendly nations such as Israel, where torture is regarded as acceptable ,is to me, horrific. It should cease immediatly.

They don't. Neither does anyone else. We should be spending all of our time thinking about how to stop all terrorists groups. The military when in war is war. There are guidlines you follow in a war but no real rules. Anything goes if you have killing going on.
