I am traveling to Seattle over Thanksgiving weekend and my girlfriend is coming to see me there. I was wondering, where there would be a romantic spot (perhaps along the Oceanside?). Anybody got any idea?

i think that a dinner cruise from the pier is really romantic. it's called argosy. the food is fancy, but not completely ridiculously priced, and the cruise is beautiful to top it off. they have special events and themes on certain dates too!
you can make reservations from the net at argosycruises.com.
don't do the space needle! way too expected!

Honestly the Space Needle has bad food. I've never been satisfied with them. Plus no one I know has enjoyed eating there. Its more to say that you've done it.
I used to always go to Torero's its on First street near Pike Place Market. The have tables right next to windows that over look the water. I loved eating there. One of the things I miss about Seattle! There's also a parking lot right across the street from it to.

Eat at the Top of the Space Needle ~ Or at least go up to the bar for cocktails. The View is The Best. Be sure and make Reservations for that wknd. Best Wishes.

The Aquarium is also fun..

For a Romantic Spot on the Beach check out Owens Beach - Point Defiance Park ...Beautiful stretch of beach surrounded by some old growth forest. Romantic views of the Pristine Puget Sound Waters and Vashon Island (also a nice area, with winding country roads and shopping). The water is pretty cold for swimming... Lots of cool spots for a picnic. I think you will like this place, it is one of my favorites...

Assaggio Ristorante serves wonderful Italian cuisine, provides a romantic atmosphere, and is in walking distance of many shops and hotels. Be warned, however, Thanksgiving weekend is the Seattle Marathon and many go there to carb up, so reservations are recommended. Good luck!

There are some great spots I love in Seattle but I think the most romantic is "Il Bristro"
Great Italian food...brick walls, candlelight lit, white table cloths and fresh flowers on the table.

The restaurant is not very large, it's actually kind of small, but that makes for a very cozy, intimate atmosphere.

Plus the food is great...

My mother is from Italy and when she came to visit me my hubby and I took her there and she really thought the food was excellent.

This is also somewhat of a hidden gem...it's not very visible to the tourists going to Pike Market because it's underneath one of the side alleys...but locals seem to love it!

Make reservations in advance...

The Space Needle is bad, bad, bad. Go to Cafe Flora(yes,it's vegetarian) and sit in the atrium. Then go over near Gas Works park and enjoy Lake Union. Or drive up and eat at Salish Lodge and Spa at the Snoqualmie Falls.

The Best Food is at Rovers on East Madison - but a Reservation is absolutely essential.
Canlis would be a second choice.
The Space Needle has very poor food.

When we lived out that way, I loved the Space Needle for dinner. Not much better then having dinner watching the sun set over the city, the mountains and Elliott Bay as you rotate around.

Something on the waterfront. Alki, Lake Union, etc. Be original and don't take her to the space needle.
