Can anyone give me some feedback on your personal experience with the Today Sponge? I know this form of birth control was taken off the market a while back but was recently re-introduced. I asked the question earlier in Women's health but only got one response.

I am breastfeeding so the typical birth control pill will dry up my milk. I know there are some low hormone pills but I already have such a time with maintaining production that I am scared to even try.

I am sure it is never intentional, but there is also the problem of forgetting the sponge is in there and causing infections and discharge...

First, is the guy sponge-worthy? Sorry, obscure Seinfield reference. I used the first generation of sponges and was pretty satified with them. The concept is sort of like a diaphragm with out all the goo of contraceptive jelly and folding it and yourself to insert the dang thing. Just keep in mind it is not 100% effective.
