Just kills when I am slowing or stopping. Doesn't appear to be the Fuel Pressure Regualtor. Anyone got any suggestions? My service engine soon or check engine light doesn't come on.

It sounds like the fuel sensor is going out or a bad carb.

Sounds like a bad EGR valve. To find out, just unplug the vaccum line going to the EGR and put a screw in the vaccum line. If it fixes your problem, you can just keep it that way. Also could be dry-rotted vaccum lines somewhere. It's about time. 10-15 years and the fumes from unleaded fuel seem to cause the vaccum lines to dry-rot. Never happened with the leaded gas, only the unleaded. Good luck.

Sounds like the brake booster is pulling too much vaccum from the engine causing it to dye. If you are not fam. with that on cars take it to a shop and have them check it. First try to start it and sitting still push the brake pedal and see it the car dies if it does then that is your problem. If not check idle speed.

Sounds like you need an Idle Solonoid but I would take it to a Advance Auto Parts Store and they could check it or you for free!

Wondering how many miles you have on it? Mine (a '95) did the same thing once I got over 52k.
