I think being blond is just one huge stereo type. There are stupid blond jokes, and then what you pointed out…the thought that they are more fun, more pretty, and have more boyfriends.
I personally, don’t think so. I am a red-head…more like a copper than anything. Anyways, I am VERY out going, I always have a great time, and I can’t even count how many boyfriends I have had. (I am engaged at the moment!) ((YAY!!!))
I think this stereo type has been made by society. I think it is based off the fact that there seems to be more brunettes than blonds. Its true, brown hair is more common that blond.
Also, blond hair sticks out more than brown hair. So, since blond hair sticks out, people make the assumption that the blond is outgoing. This thought also goes for red-heads too. We are thought to be supper sexy, fiery, and have a short temper. Why? Because our hair stands out, and it is red. Red is thought to be an angry color. That could explain why blonds are thought as dumb…yellow is a very bubbly, happy color.
So, I think these stereo types are false and are just based off of the color rather than any real data.

for one thing just cuz we are blonde does not mean we have more fun like everyone thinks and i have been in high school for 2 years and only had 2 bf's. im smart i have advance classes. I may be blonde but im a person just like eveyone else. some guys do find us more attractive and it's not our fault. im am proud to be a blonde and if people cant excpt that then they have the problem not us.

There was a study in the 70's that showed that people saw the blond haired woman before they saw the brunet.
Because there are more brunets than blonds or red heads the blond has a uniqueness factor & the modern media has put many blonds in leading roles creating the stereotypical dumb blond image / hot babe

No, no and no. Jessica Alba, Angelina Jolie, Eva Longoria, Monica Bellucci, Salma Hayek, Catherine Zeta Jones, Kate Beckinsale, Adrianna Lima.....seems like all the truly gorgeous, sexy and exotic women are brunettes. Blondes are generic.

most guys are stupid. Guys dont want a girl smarter then them. Blondes have a bad name out there, but they dont have more fun...NOT AT ALL! and they are equally attractive!

i hate my blonde hair. it's natrally dark blonde (and gets light in the summer) and people have always thought i was stupid because i'm blonde. i now dye my hair a lot. right now i'm growing the hair dye out. it's growing out brown so far, and i hope it stays that way. i hate blonde hair (at least on me). i also hate that stupid steriotype.
