I'm talking about the ones you get in your ribs, or jst below, or in your toes or calves, where your muscle kinda constricts and its really hard to get it to relax... I had like 3 in one day last saturday! I know the rib area ones make it hurt really badly when I breath, they scare the crap out of me. I can always stretch um out after a minute or 2, but they hurt so badly, and I'm ussually sore for a few days after!

What's causing them? Electrolytes being out of balance? (I drink lots of water) What can I do to prevent more? Thanks!

It could be your electrolytes out of balance. If you drink a lot of water and no Gatorade or anything like that you could be causing the imbalance. Try to eat a banana a day and drink a glass of orange juice before bed.

supposed to drink more water if that happens, but if you already do, I would ask a doc for some muscle relaxers. Depending on age it could have something to do with growing. When I was a teen I got them alot too. Should ask a doctor though.

You hit the nail on the head, but water doesn't contain the electrolytes you need.
Get an electrolyte balanced drink or drink mix.

You need more potassium which is found in bananas and oranges. You will also need more calcium. If they become regular you should go and see your doctor. There may be another problem that is causing them.

You might need more calcium. My wife started taking calcium chews and her muscle cramps went away.
