The Armenian Genocide (Armenian: Հայոց Ցեղասպանություն, Turkish: Sözde Ermeni Soykırımı) — also known as the Armenian Holocaust, Great Calamity (Մեծ ÔµÕ²Õ¥Õ¼Õ¶) or the Armenian Massacre — refers to the forced mass evacuation and related deaths of hundreds of thousands or over a million Armenians, during the government of the Young Turks from 1915 to 1917 in the Ottoman Empire.

Armenians and Turks lived together for nearly1000 years.However when the Ottoman Empire was defeated at the and of the World War,it was occupied by British and French armies and they provoked Armenians against Turks.Many Armenian guerilla grops,provided with arms by Allied Forces,killed many innocent Turkish and Kurdish people.They wanted to take some land of Turkey to set up a country,but they could not ,because Turks and Kurds won the war against them.
