My teacher is an idiot and told us we had to memorize all these bones by tomorrow. However, he does this a lot and many times he is just testing us. Just in case, I want to know most I can. What is the best way to learn these? He gave us a picture of the skeleton and we wrote the parts' names. Would it be better to just copy the picture and then fill in the blanks?
Thanks.

I had this problem and I just kept saying the same one over and over, remember that one. Move on to the next one and then remember the two together. Keep going like this until you can remember them all

copy that diagram and white out the names or find one on the internet. you could also use your body (like you did as a baby learning word). and go back after like 10 bones to make sure you have them memorized. don't get stressed. then you will get nothing done. and school isn't a big deal compared to what others go through in other countries. so just think of those struggling and be easygoing as you study.

The best way that worked for me was take one bone at a time...write the work say...Femoral bone out on paper about 10 or more times each time looking at the bone...then move on to the next one....then when you have all the bones done...go back and see how many you remember, and re-do the one's your having trouble with!! Good luck!!

Start at the top and go down. Don't try to do it all at once. Start with a few bones. Read them 3 times and then say them 3 times. Then move on to the next set and repeat. Then try to say both sets.

3 is said to be enough times for the information to stick in your memory.

When I took anatomy, the easiest way for me to learn them was to look at the picture and the name of the bone, then point it out on myself. It was also much easier if I had someone helping me, then I would tell them a name of a bone that they pointed to on their body.

Good Luck!

I would do just that. COpy pic a few times, then re-assign the names to their appropriate places.

check out this site... http://www.getbodysmart.com/ap/skeletalsystem/skeleton/menu/animation.html

May help, may not. I don't know if you need to know ALL of the bones of the body, (206 isn't it?), but i wish you luck!!! Once you know em, kinda hard to forget em... there are lots... don't know of any other way. Sorry!!

Seems like you're on the right track though.

Good Luck!!!

you could do that.... but it's cool to find funny or novel ways of remembering what they are... like the phalanges have the same ffff sound as fingers.... and the arm bones are the radius and ulna... both have an "A" for Arm......

Another way is eveyone you look at...look at the parts of their body and name the bones... it's good for constant repitition

Or get post-it notes and a friend to stick them to and write the names of all the bones on post-its and pin the post-it on the donkey!!

Good luck bro!

I learn by writing things over and over.
Yeah, definitely start by copying the skeleton onto a blank page. Then, review your "study" page several times.
Maybe write each bone in a list -- just to see the words.
Then fill in as much as you can on your blank skeleton.
Repeat until you can fill in the entire skeleton.

I never learn by simply staring at something. I have to have an action for it to sink in. Good luck!

Right them all down and then put them to a familar tune, like Ode to Joy or something like that. Sing the song over and over and over, practice singing the song without looking. Then when you take the test tomorrow, just start the song in your head.

It's always worked for me, but then again, my brain just works in music... Worth a shot, eh? Good luck!

Maybe make some cards, each on with the name of one of the bones on it, study the skeleton awhile, then look at a card and see if you can locate a bone, sort of picture it for yourself, then study the skeleton more. repeat, etc, good luck
