There are twelve houses and each represents some aspect of life...like family, career, friends, self awareness,
anyway differnt planets canlasnd in different houses and this influences your chart.
There is a really great book called "the only astrology book you will ever need" it s a big purple book - if you get it is will explain all of this and how to do your own chart or there are plenty of website where you can get your chart or natal wheel as it is often called done for free. =)
