It is called stereotyping. These people are trying to portray Liberals as shiftless and lazy.

Very old rhetoric, but if they have nothing positive to run on they bash the opposition.

Your confused alright. What was stated that 95% of all taxes were paid by the top 50% of the wage earners. The last 5% of all income taxes are paid by the other 50% of the people.

So yes, the rich pay a majority of the taxes in this country because they make the most money. You can research these facts in the IRS database at www.irs.gov. It has all of the info you need along with spreadsheets to support these statements.

The party that legislated the tax loopholes is likely to be the one that stood to benefit from those loopholes, and thus could well be the one whose members paid the lesser amount of taxes - and in addition, had the greater portion of those tax receipts funneled back to their friends and neighbors through lucrative contracts and pork barrel projects.
So who is getting screwed the most here? Do the math.

Republicans whine about taxes even at the same time they say we should keep fighting a war that costs 8 billion dollars a month. So far their genius president has been putting the war on the country's credit card. I had a girlfriend who did that once and I kicked her *** out of my house. On election day is our chance to do the same.

If your paying over 35% of the total tax burden then you are within the top 1 % of wage earners, congratulations!

it's not Republicans who pay more taxes, it's the rich who pay a higher amount. (Not all Republicans are rich)
BUT, it's the poor and middle class who really feel it, because they need all their money to get by.
