paint overlap, or if you already accidently scraped your nails, the dent fills in with the nail polish

It is caused by excessively shaking the bottle before painting your nails. It's the air created by doing that that causes the bubble.

Next time instead of shaking the bottle roll it between your hands. This will accomplish the same job but won't cause the bubbles.

Don't shake your polish before you put it on, it can cause bubbles. Only apply one thin coat. Then let it dry completely before applying another. Also dark colors and iridescent whites are more likely to bubble.

Air in the nail polish. Don't shake the bottle too much and that should take care of it.

It's air. Are you shaking the bottle before you put it on or just rolling it around in your hands gently to mix it?

I think that happens when you apply too much polish at one time.
