I am going through the same thing right now. I have been nauseous for 42 days straight. I have been to the OB-GYN for a blood and urine test, both negative. She sent me to a gastro (stomach) doctor, all of his tests were negative too. It seems that a healthy 23 year old woman is simply nauseous. I am going to wait a bit and see. I would be just short of 2 months preg., or 7 weeks. In my opinion (that is, if I turn out to be pregnant), women are ALL DIFFERENT, and yet they use the same exact test on everyone...maybe that is the problem.

With my son, I took a blood test which came back negative b/c they were prescribing meds and the doctor wanted to check. A week later (or so) I got a positive HPT, a few days after AF was due. It can happen. Ask them if they did a qualitative or quantitative blood test. Qualitative is yes/no like an HPT. Quantitative measures the actual level of HCG in your system and can be more "sensitive"

Yes. My good fried. She and dh were trying for a long time and the blood and urine test came back negative BUT she WAS pg! When they did an ultrasound to check for reasons why she was NOT getting pg they discovered that she was almost 3 months along! The baby is healthy and normal!

if your blood test comes back negative you are definitely not pg...unless you tested like right after you had sex. the blood test can test up to a week before you start your period. SO you have a negative blood test odds are you are not pg...

Blood tests can turn out negative, and you can still be pregnant. 1. When is/was your period due?

I am 13 weeks pg. I ovulated 1 week later than my Fertility Dr. thought, so my fisrt tests were not correct.

One of the things that you should look for in this case is called Positive Predictive Value (PPV). Every test has different PPV's. Basically it tells you how many times out of 100 this test is wrong. Hope it helped
