No, I wouldnt, that's traditionally a girls name and it would only cause problems for the boy in school, if it's for a sentamental reason, maybe use it as a middle name and he can chose to only list the initial if he wants later on.

No, because I've never heard it used as a boy's name and I know of several girls with that name. (It may be of gender neutral origin, I don't know, but I still wouldn't recommend using it for a boy.) I surely wouldn't want to consign a son to a lifetime of teasing and ridicule and "what was your family thinking" kind of questions. If Chelsea was a family name or something, I'd wait until I had a daughter. You have to think about the child's future before just using a name you happen to like.

And while your at it give him SUE for his middle name! Are you crazy even considering giving a boy the name Chelsea. It's not his fault you hoped for a girl! Think about all the ridicule he will get all through life! Do you want your son in counseling for life?

No, but I think of Chelsea being a girl's name.

I guess it would depend on where your from. If its a common boy name then yes but in the usa its a girls name and you just might be setting him up to get picked on for it

chelsea seems to be a female name.

I know it's a place, but here in the USA he might get teased.

I'd say no

Only if I wanted him beat up by his male peers. Kids can be cruel and if there is any doubt don't even name him it.
