How about washing his car, cutting the grass, fixing him a great meal, renting him a movie and bring him a snack and drink. Sounds like he could use a break more than anything!

My dad doesn't go out and do too much either but he also loves sports. For his birthday I usually get him some kind of sports stuff. Like the team that he likes I will get him something with their logo on it. I am sure that your dad would love that too. If he loves sports, you can' t go wrong getting him something with his team on it.
