If test on another monitor fails, then replacing VGAs display card for PC plus installing its driver. Otherwise; need new LCD screen for lap top or new monitor for desktop.

Hi, look your going to have to be more specific. Start a new question. Are we on about the display? The colour of the PC unit? Help us out.......

Hi >
If the thing has slowly decayed over time ........
I doubt that you mean your printer, but the monitor.
If it has a menu, or button to access a thing called "De-Gauss", hit it. the thing will wobble a bit, but get rid of any static build up in the box.
Failing that, the guns in the monitor are perhaps knackered.
Oh dear. new one. Happens.

a moniter can function for around 8 years
check the pins in the socket where you attach the moniter to pc. if any pin broken make it repair.
or may be its a simple driver problem.

of it's about your monitor image...get a new one...if you reffer to your computer case...try to paint it with spray or with some permanent markers...it's more "home made" and coll(for me...maybe you have other tastes)
