If you have ever seen a wire mesh minnow trap,model your trap after it and bait it with rotten meat or fish guts. it is a tubular shape about 20 inches long by 10 inches wide.1/4-3/8 square mesh. with funnel shaped ends pointing inward,with 1 inch openings on each end.

Chicken wire and hog nose clamps make a circle out ot the wire and a cone of wire with a hole in the middle the other end bend flat and hook a rubber and hook on it to fold it over onto the trap and to let crawfish out, called a pillow trap. Or some net in a square and two coathangers bent int v's with hooks on bottom to hook the net to. Or how bout a five gallon bucket with holes in it.
