does anyone know what it's called when there's a sentence that you read and sometimes you fill in words that aren't in the sentence, based on your beliefs or assumptions? or do you know any examples of this, or where i can find them?
thanks- i appreciate any help i can get!

You maybe talking about Freudian slips,when instead of saying/writing what we mean to we say/write something completely out of context. For example a guy in a club gets talking to a girl..he is trying to appear Mr.Nice.. instead of asking her if she wants a drink.he asks if she would like say sex. Look up Freud he has very interesting theories.
