No. It can however put you in 'the mood'. Be careful not to project those kinds of things on to your relationships in real life. Romance novels, some more than others, are just not based in reality. It's kind of the same thing as people who view porn become disenchanted with real sex b/c it can't live up to the expectations they've created through that. If you enjoy romance novels, go ahead and read them. I enjoy one now and again. Nora Roberts and Julie Garwood both have good ones, very witty.

I don't believe it can but it can help you in your relationships. It tells you how men relate to women and vise versa. When you read these it helps you sort out a relationship and it can boost your desire for intimacy. Yes, you feel like your are a part of the story and you are living the life of the heroine but it is just fantansy.
Your real sex drive is triggered by hormones. They are either in balance or not.

No, the only thing reading romance novels does is increase the gap between what "real men" are and what "fantasy men" are. So your perfect "Mr. Right" doesn't really exist

LOL. I have tried reading them to my wife with no luck. Try finding some "you time" and unload some of your responsibility. but its kinda like the old saying "you know that look a women gets in her eye when she is in the mood for sex...me neither"

Yes, it is the same as porn is to guys. Women like to read about it; men like to look at it. Afterwards everyone is all hot and bothered.
