The jackalope, also called an antelabbit, horny bunny, aunt benny, or stagbunny, is a fictional cross between a jackrabbit and an antelope (hence the name), goat, or deer, and is usually portrayed as a rabbit with antlers; it is generally believed that the legend of the jackalope was inspired by sightings of rabbits infected with the Shope papillomavirus, which causes the growth of horn- and antler-like tumors in various places on the rabbit's head and body.[1]. On the other hand, the human imagination has often delighted in creating composites made from two or more animals (such as the griffin and chimera), and does not really need a logical reason to do so. One common southwestern species of jackrabbit is called the antelope jackrabbit, because of its ability to run quickly like an antelope; it would have been easy enough to imagine instead (for comic effect) that this jackrabbit had the horns of an antelope.
So, no, they aren't real.

jackolopes are fake. They started out with a creative taxidermist stuffing a giant hare and affixing deer antlers onto the head.

Jackalopes are not real. It is very easy to make a fake stuffed one and they can be seen all over. All that is needed is a stuffed jack rabbit and some holes in the head to place some antlers.

the jackalope is a wonderful, fictitious animal first imagined by cowboys a long time ago. The cross of a jackrabbit and antelope make for some very amusing pictures. Which is why even today the jackalope is the topic of many postcards, shirts, and other gifts out west.

Of course they aren't real! My god, it's a cross between a rabbit and an antelope. Why would think that could possibly happen? Guess what...mermaids aren't real either!
