Cyril Smith MP for Rochdale 1972-1992, I know about but I'm told there was another one in the mid-nineties, so who was bigger? and were there any more?

Born 28 June 1928 (Rochdale, Lancashire, England)
Obese Liberal MP for Rochdale from 1972-92. Thought to have been the heaviest British MP ever. Has lived in the same modest terraced house since he was 16.
Cyril is the only one I could think of too.

I was going to say Cyril Smith but its not too late for John Prescott - I hear he's a bit of a cook so if we give him time - who knows?

Nobody in recent years was bigger than Cyril Smith, and possibly nobody previously.
A few have mentioned Nicholas Soames - did anyone hear his ex-girlfriend's decription of sex with him? 'Like having a wardrobe fall on me with the key sticking out'!

i would definitely say cyril smith- can't remember another hugely obese MP at all

You may have been thinking of Nicholas Soames. Although he is 'tubby' I don't think he is as fat as Cyril Smith.

Cyril was obese, and gay. No one in the world was fatter.Is he still alive, maybe he is a friend of Fred Elliot .
