LOOK everywhere.... they will go to warm dark moist places...

Do you by chance have other animals like cats or dogs that may have already had a snack?

If you do not find it... put down some shallow...very shallow water pans or saucers with water in them around your house,, in areas he may come too... THEN put a SMALL amount of his food there as well.... Watch to see if the food begins to disappear ( keep others pets away from it)

If you get disappearing food you will have a better idea that he is still alive and where he might be

Good Luck

They don't need water the same way a fish or amphibian does. The problem, however, is that it will get too cold, dehydrate, and starve wandering around loose.

To find it, try this:
- Go to the floor close to the tank. Get nice and low- the lower your eyes are, the better.
- Start looking for dark hiding places and caves. Start close to the tank and work away from it. They almost always go for the first hiding place they see.
- Look for SMALL hiding places- it is a small turtle!
- Piles of clothes, backpacks, boxes, shoes... almost anything can look like a good hidy hole for the turtle.

When you find it, review the cares you are offering it. Turtles should not be able to escape.

ok, a turtle can live without water from 1 week to 2 month depending on the kind of turtle, if he had water before it got lost and the most important is the climate, if its hot and dry it wont last long.
