Buy the full version of Adobe Acrobat.

Once it's installed, you can hit print, then select pdf instead of a printer, and choose the file location and click save.

There are some free conversion programs on the web, but acrobat seems to work the best.

There's a free program for Windows (I'm making the assumption that you use Windows) called PDFCreator (available at https://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=57796&package_id=53473&release_id=442172). You'll need to install something called Ghostscript (available at http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=1897&package_id=1845&release_id=417781)), but that's also free. Once you've installed all that (and it's not particularly hard) you can "print" a .pdf file as if you were using a regular printer--the only difference being that you have to save the file to your hard drive, of course. There are others who have suggested Adobe Acrobat, but it's not available for free. It gives you more flexibility in how you create your .pdf file and what that file can do, but if all you need to do is create a simple .pdf file, try PDFCreator. It's worked well enough for me.

Under "File" Select "Print Document", then under printer portal select "Print to PDF Creator"...save it in the pop up box that appears. Then go to your desktop and there should be a PDF file on your desktop...looks like a white piece of paper with lil windows on it. Right click it and send it to the PDF Creator. It will then be in a PDF Output file on your desktop...

Hope this helps.

You should get Acrobat Professional 7.0, an Adobe product, you must purchase in order to use it. Or you could get a free pdf converter from the web, just downloading it.

You need the Acrobat program. Not just the free Acrobat reader one, but the complete one. It sure is expensive, though. I can't remember paying that much for the program when I used it 6 years ago.

You need Adobe Acrobat for that, which is the "extended" (and not free) version of Adobe Reader.
