Massage won't get rid of your stress but will make it easier to manage. Find a good therapist, I avoid the spas and salons. Not that the salon massages aren't good, but sometimes a therapist that works for themself, will cost less and will offer to work with you if you have a tight budget. I am a massage therapist, and have several clients I work on regularly for half price because I know they couldn't afford it at full price.
The massagetherapy.com is an excellent website for info.

It will vary.

A lot of people who go regularly for massages go every 2 weeks--like a nail appointment.

You could start by going once a month and if you can swing it financially, step it up if you feel you need it more often.

Massage is very beneficial. It relieves stress as well as releases toxins from your body. It has many other benefits as well. I'm going for one tomorrow to relieve sore tight muscles.

A massage is extremely rejuvenating ... if it is done by experts. But then they tend to be expensive.
Also there are a large variety of them depending on the need.

Massage delivers many benefits:
Stimulates the circulatory system and lymphatic flow
Stimulates the immune system
Reduces muscular tension
Provides pain relief for sore muscles and joints
Aids in the recovery of soft tissue injury
Alleviates stress.

Massage also works on the emotional and mental levels, as human touch alone has been shown to stimulate strong physical and psychological responses.
