Go to http://www.volition.com/mystery.html and there's a huge list of REAL mystery shopping companies. The rule of thumb I've found is NEVER pay a company to be a mystery shopper. The ones that ask for money are either scams or just aren't worth the money you'd pay them...

below are some of my favorite companies' links. ... Good luck

Bare Associates International (BAI): http://www.baiservices.com/
Beyond Hello: www.beyondhello.com

I don't have any experience with registering to be a mystery shopper but one place to look for requests for mystery shoppers is Craig's List. There is a Craig's List for almost every major city (including internationally) and if you search on "shopper" or "mystery" in the Jobs section, you'll likely find companies who are looking for people to be mystery shoppers.

Important: Craig's List is totally free!!!!!!

Try this site:
http://www.mysteryshop.org/shoppers/search.php
Happy Shopping, you inspired me, I'm gonna apply for some shops.
ICCDS: shops for Rite-Aid and I think Walgreens.
I don't know how up-to-date my list is: Service Excellence
Confero (I think Subway sandwich shops)
Ann Michaels (hardware stores)
Beyond Hello - I think they do one of the Burrito restaurants.
Coyle Hospitality Group - (upscale restaurants only) VERY picky about the reports you write, they are a pain to shop for. I spent hours re-doing my report, to suit their style.
Spies in Disguise - spiesindisguise.com/
TNS Intersearch (I think fast food)
DAILY CHECK LIST for shops: http://volition.com/mystery/MSDaily.html

You can only locate REAL mystery shops by going directely to the Mystery Shop company or, at: http://www.mysteryshop.org

Real MYSTERY SHOPS ARE "NEVER" ADVERTISED ON CRAIGSLIST (only scam shops are on Craigslist and they want you to pay). Mystery Shops are posted by the MS company, on their OWN website, or at mysterhshop.org.

NEVER PAY TO BECOME A MYSTERY SHOPPER! You are PAID to shop and keep the merchandise.
