Well, this is a very average number, but if you assume that these stars make 20 mil a picture, divide that by an average of 3 months per shoot. Then divide that by 26 (days in a month they probably work during that time), then by 14 (average hours in a day probably spent on set), you'd come up with an average amount of $18,315 per hour.

I don't think its an hourly rate, they get so much for making the move then a percentage of the profits once the movie comes out.... But if you ask me personally to much.. not that i don't love a Johnny Depp movie, as much as the next, but think about it the producers paid (I think) 11 million to Tom Cruse for MI3, and it wasn't even that good. and our government doesn't want to pay the blue collar worker more than min wage, when we are the ones working our asses off? and we do our jobs well (most of us atleast)

A List actors like these dont get paid by the hour. They get paid a base salary per project, as well as backends, a percentage of the films profit. There is no real way to compute an hourly rate b/c each actor works a different number of days per project.

These popular movie stars work on a contracted fee, not a per hour rate. They could get _?_ million per movie, plus money on the back end based on how well it does in theaters and DVD sales.

Scale is $800 to $2000 a day depending on what they are filming. However some actors get paid a little more.
