I have just answered a Q from someone called incongru,
She was havin a go about Americans.
A few of the answers were from Americans havin a go at the British!
I just want to let people know not all Brits are like this, I have many American friends and I love them all to bits.
Its one country I hope to visit one day, you are all wonderful and I can't wait to meet you.
Much rather be with Americans that some of the British people I know.

I lived in New Jersey for a year and it was the best year of my life!

I love Americans! They are so naturally friendly and generous people!

I am English and I like to think a special part of the USA will always be in my heart!

Well done mojojo, It irritates me so much that some of my fellow Brits take such delight in talking rubbish about the good old yanks. Of course nobody or country is perfect but I lived in the States for about ten years, and on the whole would have to say Americans are friendley , generous, hospitable honest, fun loving people, who take pride in their country (rightly so) we should take a leaf out of their book. The trouble with the UK is too many whiners, As the Yanks say about their country , Love it or leave it.

I guess there's no place in this globalized world for this kind of discrimination.
Considering cultural differences, we can not say that the people of a certain country are like this or like that...
There are great americans as well as very bad americans, and so on...It's the individual that counts!
By the way, I'm Brazilian and I'm not a bit like people think we are. I think everybody shoud have an open mind to accept differences and respect each other in their individuality.

It's good to hear you say things like that because it sometimes seems like the entire world is against us. People are pretty much the same in every country but you have a few people who like to bash everyone else. I'd like to come visit your country someday since my ancestors are all British.

Why thank you this particular American is glad happy to hear not all Brits hate us. We've gotten along so well (for the most part) since about 1812 or so, be a shame for that to change now.

The Americans love Americans, can't think of anyone else. But then Macdonalds, starburger, KFC and all the other fast food outlets love them along with all the outsize clothing manufactuers !

yeah i love the americans. they really need to sort themselves out in the elections, and get dieting (although we're catching up...), and they get pretty bad press, but i was in america for 3 months and had a fantastic time, everywhere I went, from the Rockies to St Louis, didn't meet a bad person. Even on the Greyhounds...

Good on you Yanks.
