Oh yes, every day you are up to bat so you better be ready for anything that is thrown at you. Most of the time, it's business as usual but when you least expect it, watch out and be ready to handle that challenge of the "super curve" barreling down like a mighty torpedo ready to strike you out. Most people know when to expect them and are ready. Know yourself and don't always follow the crowd. Look what happened to pitcher, Cory Lidle, in the prime of his life. He was not ready for that curve ball when he slamped into the skyscraper in NYC and now he is no more.
So you see, the best ball players, no pun intended, also can be struck down by the almighty curve when they are trying to make a curve in the air and just didn't see what was in front of them.

Sure, the catcher flashes a deuce every now and again. But the game of life gives you 3 strikes before you're out.

no life has not, but people have thrown spitballs my way to clean-up . i do not play that kind of ball anymore.
