how do i add sound to my geocities cite?

It's the 'embed' tag.

Keep in mind that GeoCities doesn't give free space for sound. You'll either have to use up quite a bit of your allowed space (sounds are fairly large) or link to a sound on some other site (in which case it won't load if the other site goes down or changes its addresses).
