Because you have what they don't. A loving marriage. They're jealous. If they would realize what a little gift like a rose means, then maybe they'd actually have a partner too!

The reason they are getting upset is because you are doing the things for your wife that they know they should be doing for theirs. You show her respect and love and their wives notice it. Then they go home and ask their husbands why they aren't that way with them. Keep right on loving your wife the way you do. When it comes down to it you will have your wife long after those losers are dumped for a guy more like you.

Because they're all part of a worldwide conspiracy that some dumbass started because he was too lazy/inconsiderate/indifferent to attend to his wife's needs for affection. You see, if you do kiss her, hold her hand in public, tell her you love her, buy her flowers, etc., it makes the Dumbass Conspiracy look bad, and then all they'll hear is how they never do any of those things for their wives. I was with you until you said the thing about black men. My boyfriend is very sweet and kind to me and gives me a lotta love, and he is black. So you really shouldn't make assumptions about people just cause of some dimwits in Yahoo Answers.
But I do know what you mean. Honestly, I think men who act like that are just jealous. It makes them uncomfortable to see another man who's actually happy with his mate. They are probably miserable, and so they want you to be miserable too.

My first thought? Maybe it's your mind playing tricks on you. I mean, for one, why are you paying that much attention? If you love your wife and you want to show her, then do that without any worry or concern about anyone else! I think you're letting something very silly bother you. If they really are looking, just look back at them and say "sorry man, I'm one of those 'good guys' you always hear about" and move on.

rofl, we have a friend, does not get mad or such, but he does not understand romance at all..... some men were just not raised to show effection... you are a good teacher, and you should keep on doing just what you are doing... my hubby buys me flowers and such, and is just as open as you are , we both are, in fact for years I was the one to buy him flowers, as he got older, he discovered that romance , as buying flowers and small gifts were in fact MANLY !!!!!! rofl....... I for 1 just love it !!!! so you hang in there, there deadly looks and feeligs are their problem, not yours, and who knows ? you might be spreading around a good thing and not even know it.... and the looks are just because they are afraid their wives might see you and come home gripping and asking why they cant be more like that nice man they saw at the store........ That's why they are mad. Because it means if you are around and so is their woman, and their woman sees you doing your women like that...those guys are getting bitched at for not doing anything sweet for their women. Get it? Most men are lazy, self absorbed assholes that are more worried about b js then doing little SIMPLE things for their women to make them happy. And it is really the little things that make us happy. Taking the time to stop at a friggin gas staions like you weren't going by to get beer, gas, blunts, cigs whatever....and spending a extra 2 or 3 dollars on a little flower to show you care and actually think about us when we arent around. is that to much to ask? Guys are jerks for the most part and don't want other guys to show them up so they have to work harder.
