The icon on my desktop has changed from the blue "e" of internet explorer to just a green earth icon, and when I click on it, it gives me prompts to install an internet connection. The only way I go on to this site was through email. I accidentally erased some stuff on my computer and I think I may have erased it. So, how do I get internet explorer back so that when I click the icon on my desktop, it takes me directly to my homepage?

If you go to your start menu > "control panel" then click on "Add or Remove Programs". Let that list load then click on "Add/Remove Windows Components". Another list will be displayed. Place a check in the box beside "internet explorer". If it is already checked then uncheck it and click next. Once that is done I would reboot then do the same procedure as above except place a check in the "internet explorer" box this time and click next. You may want to reboot again. This procedure should re-install internet explorer.

If you want a better browser I would suggest Mozilla Firefox. http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/

It really is alot faster and installation is simple.

go to tool and Internet options and you can put your main page Internet explorer. One thing tho you have to be on the explorer page before doing this procedure.
