Anything besides fast food or resturaunt work because Ive had way to many bad experiences working in these places. Im up for any suggestions, Im not the only provider for my family (my husband works as well) but we could really use the extra money

Office assistant, counselor at a group home, temp agencies, cleaning, any sort of retail job (which in my experience has been just as bad as Fast Food).... Also look us the website for your county and check out the career section. A lot of those jobs actually don't require a degree.

Good luck to you. I know it's hard.

Minimum wage is per hour, and varies by state (aside from federal minimum wage). It's possible to have a tiny salary if you're working a minimum wage job for only a few hours a week, but there's no minimum salary.

There is a place called "Spherion" -- Look them up. What they will do is test your grammar, spelling and computer skills, then they'll place you in an office job (temporarily, usually a few weeks at a time), and once that one's finished, you can move to another one. These temporary office jobs usually pay around 12 dollars an hour, and it's usually pretty easy work with a possibility of full time employment.

Good luck!

If you went to college, but didn't finish, why couldn't you do something with some of that training. How many credit hours did you achieve, did you take any accounting, or word processing or typing or computers or anything?

Buy some professional clothes and apply for receptionist or banking jobs. They are usually entry level and you may have a shot at them if you list your applicable college courses for them to see.

Good luck

Retail worked out well for me! And it paid more than minimum. I was a manager at 20 y/o in my last year with them. I only quit because I was moving to finish college.

Try retail. You may have to put up with customers but it'll help. Most start at 8 or 9 a hour, some w/ commission. Macy's or Dillards is a good start.

Work in any store - some of them pay more than minimum wage. Movie theater. Look into working at your child's school in their office, or at their pediatrican's office. (Bonus with working for the pediatrician - free healthcare for the kids.)

Good luck!!!

Try Nannying. You'd be surprised how many people are happy that you have kids that can play with their children while you watch them. It allows you to keep your kids with you, saving money, they usually don't require too much experience and pay really well.
