however, in other words, fortunately are which types of words : transitions , transactions? i dont know but i think it starts with a "t"..anyone know?

Not sure what you're going for here but "however" and "fortunately" are in the dictionary as adverbs.

They are CONJUNCTIONS. Conjunctions are often used as transitions. Sometimes they are refered to as transitional words, but technically they are called conjunctions.
