i have a windows xp and i think a virus may have totally disabled the option of having a desktop picture. When i go into properties to change the desktop everything is gray and unable to be clicked all except for changing the color of the screen. Is there any why i can get my regular picture back?

Your picture may be lost already. Can you get a copy of that picture and save it somewhere else? Or another picture you like? In properties you can click on Browse and select which picture to use. You don't have to use what comes with Windows. Go through your digital camera and see if there's anything you like. Or search the internet for any cute picture.

May be ur pictures has already get effected by virus and during the process of removing the virus the antivirus could have remove or terminate the pictures and can no longer work or active, so try to get another fresh pictures and use it. I think this could solve ur problem

Try scanning with AVG...it's free and should remove any virus you have.
