If you are speaking of the Sandals properties only...
I don't know when you plan to travel, or where you are located, but...
Sandals Antigua is undergoing a fantastic renovation right now. They are making it a Meditteranean Villa style resort, expanding it's size and adding luxury and refinement.
The rooms are being updated with Mohagany beds and other renovations. The new buildings will have not only the previous category rooms, but brand new categories, including villas. They are constructing a seamless entry pool, new dining options, but the white sand beach will always stay the same.
Sandals Whitehouse is another hidden gem in Jamaica. It is only about 2 years young, built in a Mediterranean Village. There are three buildings: Dutch, Italian, and French. From all three you have ocean views and can watch the sunset. If you can request it, stay in the Dutch or Italian because they are located closer to everything.
Sandals St. Lucia: stay at one, play at three. Each one fits a person's personality. There is Sandals Halcyon, which is the most intimate; Sandals Regency, which highlights activities such as golf; and Sandals Grande, which is exactly that. You have free transportation to and from these three properties to enjoy their beaches, entertainment, activities, and dining.
But the Sandals properties are like people, each one different from the next. You have to decide what you want to do on your vacation and see what fits your needs.
Hope it was helpful! Have a good trip!

I've been to three Sandals Resorts in Jamaica and can't recommend Sandals Negril highly enough. I've been to Sandals Negril twice and will absolutely be back. Here's why I prefer Sandals Negril to other Sandals Resorts in Jamaica.
Negril is a beach town, laid back lots to do off resort if you wish.
Seven mile beach is beautiful and fun to walk down to beaches resort etc.
The tallest building at Sandals Negril is just three stories high giving you that beach resort feeling not hotel like.
Rooms are just 20 feet from the beach. You can easily get back to your room from the beach for forgotten items etc.
Rick's Cafe and Margaritaville are just down the road. You can take a booze cruise to Rick's for cliff diving and music.

One mentioned as far as Couples Swept away and I have to agree on this that it is a fantastic property, in fact my favorite out of all the Couples properties.
Sandals to has some great resorts, however not all of them stand on the same level with one another as many chain names are. Each property is unique to a degree making one property good for your neighbor, but maybe not for you. Instead of trying to recommend one honestly the only way I could truly recommend which I myself anyhow felt is best for you is by asking you some questions. Then I could match the best property with not only what you are looking for, but within your budget.
Jamaica is a wonderful choice and for a Jamaican stay your resort is really important to have one that fits you as you will spend a good majority of time here.
Seems you are looking for Jamaica, not Antigua or St. Lucia. I wanted to comment off the note of another poster on going to Antigua. They are doing some major changes, however in the last 2 years I have gotten far too many complaints from it and I have seen it myself as well. Until I go back there personally and inspect I am not extremely comfortable in recommending this one, renovation or not.
I would be more than happy to help you in making the arrangements for your holiday. Feel free to email me and I could then make an honest recommendation for you.
If you feel more comfortable in staying local I would still highly recommend using an agent who knows these resorts. If I don't hear from you then have a Fantastic time in Jamaica! You made a good choice!

My husband and I always stay at Sandals Inn because there you really become a local not just a tourist. You can also take shuttles to two other resorts for a classier atmosphere. Have fun cause I miss HOME
