Liposuction surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her breast reduction, tummy tuck and facelift surgery in India by the company called Forerunners Healthcare .The Price for the surgery she paid in India was very less. She paid 30% of the cost she was quoted in America.

Forerunners Healthcare is very famous in India. They arrange cosmetic and plastic surgery for foreigners in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low price, as the breast reduction, tummy tuck, facelift and other cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

Hope this helps.

Safety: it is surgery so carries all the risks of any other surgery and general anesthetic. It is done with a great big needle attached to a suction machine. The needle is quickly run back and forth under the skin sucking up the fat. If the needle is handled by someone with little experience or in a careless manner it can be very dangerous. It carries a great risk of infection, depending on the areas done, puncture of vital organs, damage to blood vessels or nerves. If done incorrectly there can be a washboard appearance to the area, too much fat removal will show up the muscles under the skin which looks very awful. Severe bleeding can occur, and of course the ever present possible death.

Costs vary, pick the best doctor, board certified and lots of experience. Not the cheapest one. Vanity costs, dont gamble with your life just to save a few bucks.

Very effective for what it is meant for. Getting rid of that last little bit of fat where exercise and diet have not been able to get rid of it. It is not meant to be for weight loss. Also if you dont maintain your weight after the surgery the fat comes back!!

Good luck and be safe.

It doesn't seem worth it. It's very dangerous, not to mention costly, and if something ever went wrong, then it could end up causing more harm than good. It seems as if Lipo is only a good choice for someone extremely overweight, that needs to lose it fast for health reasons. That's it!
Definitely first try motivating yourself (or whoever was considering Lipo) to increase physical activity and decrease fat/caloric intake (even if it means dragging yourself to the gym or for a walk & throwing out the junk food)- it's a better & safer approach.
