You must start school at the age of 5. You then spend six years in primary school and at the age of 11 transfer to secondary school. The earliest age for leaving school is 16. The earliest age for entering nursing college is 17, so I think that the normal course nowadays is to stay at school until you are 18 before starting nursing training.

well some people start at first school- reception to year three (about 7 years old), then you go to primary, which can start at reception, and goes upto year 6(aged about 10-11). Then its secondary school, years 7-11 are compulsory, then you can continue to sixth form for 2 years

You stay at primary school untill your 11 then you go to secondary school until your 16, after that you can get a job or go to college, sign on or whatever.

year sevem is the start of secondary school which is 12-16 then after that is college or sixthform which is 16-18years
